Get yourself on a major New Jersey and there it is— Netcong, a 0.96 square mile town of around 3,500 residents, acting as a wayfinding point from great distances.
Its importance as a transportation hub began in the late 19th century, when the DL&W Railroad's last stop was in Netcong. While freight trains aren't much of a sight in town these days, its location is the at intersection of Routes 80, 46, and 206, giving it a spot up on more than a few highway signs en route.
