The gateway town to New Jersey's legendary Long Beach Island, Manahawkin offers up some proper goodness by way of fresh shellfish (Blacky's Clams), restaurants (The Old Causeway and Mud City Crab are co-owned neighbors bringing the seafood game) and even its own brewery (ManaFirkin).
Though many might think Manahawkin ends as soon as the bridge extends over the bay, there are also a cluster of islands— the Cedar Bonnets— that host a handful of homes, marinas, venues, and the beautiful Cedar Bonnet Island Park we visited as the sun set across the bay.
