After a long hiatus from mountain biking in my late teens and twenties, in 2006 I decided to pick the sport up again, and the Deer Park section of Allamuchy Mountain State Park was where I recut my teeth on the dirt, rocks, and rocks of northwest New Jersey. I've ridden these loops countless times and fondly reflect on how this place reinvigorated a continued love for cycling.

On a beautiful fall afternoon, we decided to set out on the trails of Deer Park once again to take on some treacherously leaf-covered singletrack and let me spark some nostalgia from rides past.    —Mike
